Granite counters arrive. Costa Esmeralda granite is from Costa Rica. The general coloration is compatible with our sage green theme; the white stripes are a natural feature of the rock.

The fire one week later. Here is what it looked like the day we started it. It will probably continue to smolder for another week.

22 Nov 2005
Pouring the lowest (Media Room) patio. It will be colored, textured and cut to match the others. Note the "earthy" color scheme, including the stucco.

22 Nov 2005
The fireplace (it's not as green as the picture suggests)

22 Nov 2005
First of the wood floor goes down in the library. The floor is random width red oak planks. Note the library shelves and the window seat.

22 Nov 2005
Ceiling in the West Wing Bedroom

22 Nov 2005
Roofing is on the spark arrestors, snow guards are being installed and the temporary landscaping (i.e., ditches and gravel) is going in.

28 Nov 2005
The upper drive was in such bad shape that the workmen had to park at the Carriage House and walk up to the Main House while we worked on clearing snow.

30 Nov 2005
Spa tub for the Master Suite arrives. Note the cornice on the roof.

30 Nov 2005
The west half of the Library.

30 Nov 2005
One end of the oblate spheroid ceiling; the elliptical shape and "Mt. Rainier Gray" color give it the appearance of great depth (height?).
