Preparing the Site for a New Foundation
The first step in getting started is to clear space for a new
foundation.
Since much of the debris from the "deconstruction" was placed in the
area to be excavated,
it needed to be moved or hauled away to make room.
There is a place in Bridger Canyon taking concrete for fill,
so we are able to get rid of some at low cost.
The excavator on the left is sitting where the Master Bedroom was/will
be,
taking material from the Pantry and Kitchen areas.
The South Patio is pretty much intact,
but its slab will have to go.
The green mound sits over the Garage.
The other excavator is sitting in what was the Media Room.

On the way up to start work on the house,
an excavator stops to pick up a rock for
some landscaping.
