A woman said she dialed 912 because she “saw it on The Simpsons and didn't think it would go to any phone,” but it went to 911. The woman refused to give her name. ✉
  • 912 is the emergency number for Springfield, so she spoke to Chief Wiggum.

A man reported that he believed someone had been entering his apartment and stealing ideas from his college papers and books. Police advised him to put a deadbolt lock on his door. ✉
  • Perhaps he needs to consider DRM.

A man called from a restaurant to report that he had been behaving bizarrely earlier in the day, yelling at neighbors. He was told that no one had called to report it and he went back to the Chinese restaurant where he had been eating. ✉
  • No-one reported him? Now that is bizarre.

A grizzly bear had two hunters up a tree after one of them shot an elk. The bear eventually left the hunters to eat the dead elk. ✉
